Even though I’ve not long finished February’s read “The Illumination of Ursula Flight“, I am so ready for the next one!
I’ve enjoyed every Rare Birds Book Club book that I’ve received and I’ve certainly been impressed with the selection so far! For some reason my shelf is looking a little bare at the moment, so when I found my latest parcel on my door step, I couldn’t wait to see what was inside!
Thoughts:
I quickly unwrapped my packaged to find “Don’t You Forget About Me” by Mhairi McFarlane. I’m really impressed to find out that this book isn’t even available to buy at the moment, so members of the club will be among some of the first to give this a read.

With a pretty pink cover, this book is described as a hilarious heartbreaker in which leading lady Georgina finds herself unemployed and single on the same day. When she finds herself a new job, she’s shocked to find that the business is owned by her ex, now broodingly handsome.
This books looks fun and sounds like it will be some light relief after some of the emotionally heavy books I’ve been reading recently (like watching a comedy programme after a scary film!)
It’s been quite a while since I’ve read a rom-com and I’m looking forward to getting started. Look out for a review in the next couple of weeks! (update: see my review here)
