"Lily and Octopus" is a cute read about one man's relationship with his dog. It's emotional and heartwarming with a little bit of humour entwined. It's strange middle will have to knock a star off but still a solid 4 stars from me.
I loved New York but the same can be said for "Gone to New York". The facts and figures can't rescue a boring topic. After the first try I just didn't want to pick this up on my morning commute for the rest of the week but powered through. I'm giving Ian Frazier's essays just 1 star.
This book isn't going to stick in your mind forever, but I'm not sure it needs to. As a collection of short accounts, The New York Times have put together and interesting peek into the city over the years. Now it's time to explore the city for myself...
This is a fascinating and heartwarming story about the meaning of unconditional love and self-acceptance. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy "The Danish Girl" enough to award it more than three stars but am still glad that I read it. Perhaps I'll enjoy the film a little more.
