“Soon" by Lois Murphy has a really interesting plot with a lot of potential but unfortunately I didn't enjoy the story overall. A little too slow paced for my tastes, this was a 2 star read for me.

Book Review: Last Night by Mhairi McFarlane
"Last Night" by Mhairi McFarlane is an emotional read but it's still full of wit and funny moments. The themes of grief and loss are well written and realistic and the successful balance between the two make this a great 5 star read for me!
Blog Tour: The Fall of Koli by M.R. Carey
The Rampart Trilogy is a really great series that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to someone looking for a fantastical dystopian story. “The Fall of Koli” wraps up this trilogy perfectly, 5 stars!
Audiobook Review: The Silver Road by Stina Jackson
“The Silver Road” in audiobook wasn't my cup of tea. I struggled with the format and didn't really get into the story. I'd like to give this one a try in traditional print at some point in the future. Keep your eyes peeled for an update!
Audiobook Review: Him & Me by Jack & Michael Whitehall
"Him & Me" is a fun autobiography by Jack and Michael Whitehall. I'd recommend this on audio for fans of the pair, but would probably avoid it if you don't know anything about them. A great 5 stars from me!
Audiobook Review: Perfect Death by Helen Fields
“Perfect Death” is the third book in the D.I. Callanach series by Helen Fields. This book was as a little less gruesome than it's predecessors but still made for an enjoyable read. This slightly more character focussed read gets 3 stars from me.
Blog Tour: The Favour by Laura Vaughan
It's my stop on the blog tour for "The Favour" by Laura Vaughan, an atmospheric character study of a group of privileged young people. For the most part I found this to be an immersive read and I really liked the ending. It's 4 stars from me!
Book Review: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
"The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig is a really quick read that'll plummet you into a magical world. I really enjoyed the concept and the thought provoking questions that it sparked. Some lives were more memorable than others but this is still a really great five stars from me.
Book Review: Give and Take by Adam Grant
Whilst I don't think it's revolutionary, I found the topic of "Give and Take" to be quite interesting and it sparked some really great discussion. The overall style wasn't to my tastes though and I'd have preferred not to have had the lengthy, detailed examples that dragged this book out for me. I wouldn't recommend it as a book, but won't be ruling out the work of Adam Grant going forward, because I think the message is good, it's the format that didn't quite work - 2 stars for the book.
Audiobook Review: A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena
It’s another 3 stars from me for "A Stanger in the House" by Shari Lapena. This is a contemporary thriller that I enjoyed, but wasn't amazed by. Recommended for fans of the author!
