“Parable” is a lovely story about one man's love for his dog. It’s a poignant read and one that'll make you smile, and possibly cry! This was a great 5 star read for me.
“Before Her” is a short memoir of Jacqueline Woodson's romantic history. It's warm and moving in places. I didn't love it, but it was really enjoyable - I'm giving my first read of The One collection 3 stars.
“The Weddings” is a lovely story about modern marriage, secrets and stories untold. It wasn't my favourite of the Inheritance Series but still a solid 4 stars!
“The Lion's Den" wasn't my cup of tea. I'd say it was my least favourite of the Inheritance Collection, mostly because I couldn't connect with it and there were some parts I just didn't understand. This read wasn't for me, but please don't let that put you off as others seem to have loved it!
“Can You Feel This?” is an raw and emotional story about the relationship between childhood and motherhood. This is a quick, well-written read which will stay with you. Personally I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style, but this was still a powerful 4 stars for me.
“Zenith Man” is an impressive little story and Harold Pardee is a well-developed character and an intriguing man. This book isn't going to take you long to read, but it's a sweet read that I'd recommend.
“Everything My Mother Taught Me” is an impressive little story with a strong leading character. For such a quick read, this story packs a punch and I’d recommend giving it a try, it’s only short after all!
