Another month, another book in the post! It's already May and time for the next Rare Birds Book Club book!
It feels like time is flying by this year and I can't believe that we're already in April and it's time for another Rare Birds Book Club book!
Georgina Horspool is so real it's difficult not to love her. Unemployed and single on the same day and heading home to a roommate who's not her biggest fan either. This rom-com explores some tricky themes but it mostly fun and witty. This wasn't perfect for me but still an enjoyable 3 stars.
I've enjoyed every Rare Birds Book Club book that I've received and I've certainly been impressed with the selection so far! For some reason my shelf is looking a little bare at the moment, so when I found my latest parcel on my door step, I couldn't wait to see what was inside!
Another great choice from the Rare Birds Book Club. "The Illumination of Ursula Flight" is a fun, quirky tale of a young girl growing up in the 17th century. Very different to what I would normally choose but I enjoyed it and it's 4 stars from me.
After what felt like the longest January ever, February is flying by! I really loved the last Rare Birds Book Club book, "Dear Mrs Bird" and was looking forward to seeing what February had in store.
New year, new book! After signing up to the Rare Birds Book Club in November 2018, I decided to skip December’s read as there was just too much going on (wine, food and hangovers!) to give my full attention to another book. Now 5 days into 2019, January’s book has landed on my door step.
I came across the Rare Birds Book Club at Stylist Live last week. Named by the magazine as a company to watch in 2019, I knew that I just had to sign up! I hadn't heard of this subscription before, but as they've only recently celebrated their first birthday, I'm sure this is a brand that will grow and blossom in the future.
I spent the beginning of November away from the office so I've only just got my hands on November's Reading in Heels Box. Despite devouring the sweets and using all of the bath oil from October's box, I still haven't got round to reading last month's book. This seems to be becoming a trend so let's see what this month's box has in store...
One thing subscription boxes certainly do is make you realise how quickly time flies! I haven't even got round to reading September's book yet and here's October's box reminding me to get a move on!
