'Burnt Sugar' wasn't my cup of tea. I didn't find it be engaging and struggled to connect - 1 star from me.
“This Time Next Year" by Sophie Cousens is a quirky rom-com with a lot of heart. Minnie Cooper's story makes for a really enjoyable read and a great pick-me-up at the end of a difficult year! 5 stars!
"The Salt Path" tells the true story of a couple walking the South West Coast Path. It's wonderfully written and I enjoyed the narration too. With some important messages, this is a thought-provoking read about taking life day by day. It was a great 4 star read for me!
It's 3 stars for Shari Lapena's “Someone We Know", a story full of secrets, gossip and infidelity. I enjoyed it, but it was an okay read for me and probably not one I'll remember long term.
“Unnatural Causes” is a fascinating read. Dr Richard Shepard tells the story of his life and career working as a forensic pathologist. This is an interesting, honest and human look at his role and the events that required his involvement. I really enjoyed this - 5 stars!
For me “The Authenticity Project” was an enjoyable read but it wasn't a particularly memorable one and I found it to be a little predictable. Full of feel good themes, this could be the light read that you need at the moment. It's 3 stars from me.
"Becoming" is an eloquent memoir by Michelle Obama. I enjoyed this candid look at her life so far and feel that I've learned a lot from listening to her stories. This was a 5 star read for me!
“Meet Me at the Museum” is a beautiful story of unlikely friendship told through alternating letters. I enjoyed this cozy read and will be keeping an eye out for more work by Anne Youngson. This was a great 4 star read for me.
