'Early Morning Riser’ is a feel-good easy read (or listen in my case). This is an enjoyable character based story following a quirky bunch over a period of 17 years. I really liked it and it's 4 stars from me!
It’s another 3 stars from me for "A Stanger in the House" by Shari Lapena. This is a contemporary thriller that I enjoyed, but wasn't amazed by. Recommended for fans of the author!
“Hard Pushed” is a really enjoyable medical memoir. Following midwife Leah Hazard on her journey to become an experienced midwife. Full of interesting stories and anecdotes, this was a great 4 stars for me!
"Educated" is a rewarding, powerful memoir by Tara Westover. It's not an easy read, but I've learned a lot through Tara's story and would recommend that you do too. 4 stars!
For me “The Authenticity Project” was an enjoyable read but it wasn't a particularly memorable one and I found it to be a little predictable. Full of feel good themes, this could be the light read that you need at the moment. It's 3 stars from me.
“Weather” wasn't really a book I can say I enjoyed. I struggled to follow along some parts as the subjects flicked around in this inner monologue. This wasn't for me, but it's clear that it appeals to a lot of people and has been nominated for several prizes. Perhaps I'll give it another try some time down the line.
"Daisy Jones and the Six" has quickly earned it's place in my favourite reads of all time. Telling the story of a fictional rock band in the 70s, this story is so real. It's fully immersive, compulsive and addictive - a very strong 5 stars!
“After the End” is an emotional, contemporary novel about two people facing the hardest decision of their lives. I enjoyed the narration and would definitely recommend the audiobook - this was a great 4 star read for me.
A tale of love, loss, friends, family and self-discovery, I really enjoyed "The Possible World" - 5 stars!
