"Mordecai's Ashes" is a really entertaining murder mystery featuring Karl Larsson, the new owner of an established detective agency. The story was well written and kept me engaged throughout. A really good 4 stars from me!
It's 3 stars for Shari Lapena's “Someone We Know", a story full of secrets, gossip and infidelity. I enjoyed it, but it was an okay read for me and probably not one I'll remember long term.
"Hinton Hollow Death Trip" is full of all kinds of evil. Narrated by Evil itself, this isn't a book for the faint-hearted and is sure to keep you on your toes. I personally didn't love the style, but the story was really enjoyable and certainly unique! If you're looking for something dark, give this a try!
I really enjoyed this who-dunnit murder mystery. The two story lines are both compelling and are intertwined well with each other. "Salvation Station" is a really great debut novel and I'd definitely recommend it for crime thriller fans. A strong 4 stars!

It's my stop on the blog tour for “The Lazarus Charter”. This book tells the enjoyable story of Bob and Anne Shaw solving the mystery behind seemingly inexplicable events. If you’re looking for an intriguing story full of twists and turns, this could be the book for you!
"My Sister, the Serial Killer" is a quick, entertaining read which I'm glad I've finally got round to reading. I enjoyed the relationship between the two sisters and the writing style too. It's a strong 4 stars from me!
It's my stop on the blog tour for "Two Lives" by A Yi. "Two Lives" is an original collection of Chinese short stories for open-minded readers. It's dark, twisted and a little odd, so I'd recommend taking these stories slowly rather than all in one go.
