It's my stop on the blog tour for “The Secrets of Strangers”, a compelling story of a hostage situation in a Balham cafe. That may sounds a bit intense, but this story is more than that, diving deep into the lives of those involved and exploring the secrets that we all keep. It's 4 stars from me!
It's my stop on the blog tour for “The Snakes”, a compelling family drama about the hidden secrets of one dysfunctional family. If you're into a slow burning read, this is for you!
It's my stop on the blog tour for "The Home"! This is a hard hitting, compelling read about the death of a vulnerable young girl and the circumstances that lead to it. It's not a walk in the park, but rather an intelligent story full of emotion. I'm giving this one 4 stars!
It's my stop on the blog tour for 'A Dark Matter', I've been won over by the Skelf women and the mysteries they are trying to uncover in this story. This is a unique mystery and thriller that will keep you engaged throughout. It's 5 stars from me!
"A Stranger on the Beach" is a twisty thriller by a well reviewed author. The story is unique and mostly enjoyable but I found it was a little too slow paced and more of an okay read for me. 3 stars!
Full of twists and turns, 'Haven't They Grown' is a fast paced, unique story that I really enjoyed. I didn't see the ending coming and I was kept engaged throughout. It's 4 stars from me!
"All The Wrong Places" wasn't my cup of tea. Sold as a thriller, this book is a little more chick-lit than suspense. I enjoyed some of the characters and their story lines but overall this is a 2 star read for me.
“I Know You” is a fast paced, gripping psychological thriller that I really enjoyed. It's certainly one that's going to make you think and perhaps review your privacy settings online too! It’s 5 stars from me!
Despite starting this read with a great deal of optimism, "How to Play Dead" wasn't really my cup of tea. I was expecting a gripping thriller but instead this is more of a slow study if characters and their relationships. It's 2 stars from me for this one.
“Corpses in Enderby” is another good piece of 1950s detective fiction by George Bellairs. This is a nice story, but just an okay 3 star read for me. I won't be ruling out Bellairs' books in the future though (there are loads more for me to read!)
