"A Stranger on the Beach" is a twisty thriller by a well reviewed author. The story is unique and mostly enjoyable but I found it was a little too slow paced and more of an okay read for me. 3 stars!

Book Review: Record of a Night Too Brief by Hiromi Kawakami
“Record of a Night Too Brief” is an extremely quirky collection of stories by Japanese author Hiromi Kawakami. For the most part I enjoyed the writing of these stories, but really they were just a little too strange for me to enjoy fully - 2 stars.
Book Review: Setting the World on Fire by Maggie K.C. Au
"Setting the World on Fire" is a unique coming of age story. Having had everything she ever wanted in life, Rebecca DeMeyer is oblivious to reality. Rebecca finds her feet in the real world and learns the ugly truth about it too. This book was good and I'm sure that with some fine tuning, author Maggie K.C Au will be able to publish this as a great YA read.
Book Review: Devastation Road by Joanna Baker
I really enjoyed this story by Joanna Baker. 'Devastation Road' is a well-paced mystery that I'd recommend for any fans of the genre, even if you don't think that YA fiction is for you - 4 stars!
Book Review: The Existence Of Amy by Lana Grace Riva
'The Existence of Amy' is a great book which opens your eyes to the struggles that others may be going through. It tells a powerful, and at times heart-warming, message from the point of view of a young woman with OCD and depression. 4 stars from me!
Book Review: Haven’t They Grown by Sophie Hannah
Full of twists and turns, 'Haven't They Grown' is a fast paced, unique story that I really enjoyed. I didn't see the ending coming and I was kept engaged throughout. It's 4 stars from me!
Book Review: Three Japanese Short Stories by Akutagawa and Others
"Three Japanese Short Stories" is a tiny collection of short stories that won't take you long to read. For me they were just okay and nothing to shout home about - 2 stars for now.
Book Review: All The Wrong Places by Joy Fielding
"All The Wrong Places" wasn't my cup of tea. Sold as a thriller, this book is a little more chick-lit than suspense. I enjoyed some of the characters and their story lines but overall this is a 2 star read for me.
Book Review: I Know You by Annabel Kantaria
“I Know You” is a fast paced, gripping psychological thriller that I really enjoyed. It's certainly one that's going to make you think and perhaps review your privacy settings online too! It’s 5 stars from me!
