"The Night Watch" is the third Sarah Waters book I've read. I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous two and didn't feel such strong connections with these characters, but don't let that put you off, Waters is an amazing writer I'd highly recommend.

Book Review: Neither Here, Nor There: Travels in Europe by Bill Bryson
I was really looking forward to learning about the cities and countries of Europe. I really did enjoy the first few chapters, but when Bryson's humour went a bit too far, I lost interest and by the end I had almost given up. It's 2 stars from me!
Rare Birds Book Club: February 2019
After what felt like the longest January ever, February is flying by! I really loved the last Rare Birds Book Club book, "Dear Mrs Bird" and was looking forward to seeing what February had in store.
Book Review: I Am, I Am, I Am by Maggie O’Farrell
Maggie O'Farrell has bravely allowed us all to see a snapshot of her life, but rather than show us the best parts, she's shown us the times when things could have easily ended differently - her near death experiences. I liked this collection but I wasn't amazed by it and lost interest somewhere in the middle. It's 3 stars for this brave and thought-provoking memoir.
Book Review: The Last Lie by Alex Lake
"The Last Lie" is a gripping thriller, but it's not a tough read. I sped through the pages and looked forward to picking this up each day. Predictable and unrealistic at times but an enjoyable 3 stars.
