"Ponti" is funny, sad and awkward, unlike anything I've read in a long time. I loved this book from Sharlene Teo and can't wait to see what she writes next - 5 stars!

Blog Tour: The Promise Between Us by Barbara Claypole White
“The Promise Between Us” is a powerful and educational story which addresses the less well-known side of OCD and explores how such an illness can affect a family. I'm giving this book 4 stars – thanks again to Rachel at Rachel's Random Resources and author Barbara Claypole White for the opportunity to read this book!
Book Review: Expectation by Anna Hope
“Expectation” explores how female friendships change over time. I found it to be very relatable and enjoyed learning about the lives and friendships between Hannah, Cate and Lissa. It’s 5 stars from me!
Book Review: The Forest of Wool and Steel by Natsu Miyashita
A beautifully written love song to the piano, "The Forest of Wool and Steel" is a truly captivating story. Another piece of Japanese literature that I really enjoyed, it's 4 stars from me.
Blog Tour: The Wrong Envelope by Liz Treacher
It’s my stop on the “The Wrong Envelope” blog tour! A quaint story of romance in the 1920s in rural Devon. Bernard Cavalier doesn't make a great first impression and his second one isn't much better either, but he's determined to make this relationship work. A charming 4 stars for Liz Treacher's "The Wrong Envelope".
Rare Birds Book Club: May 2019

Book Review: Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout
I’m not sure I understand the hype surrounding Elizabeth Strout‘s “Olive Kitteridge” but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Some stories I loved but some not so much and I’m beginning to feel that I may need to give it a second chance down the line. For now it’s 3 stars, but I’m not ruling this one out for a re-read at some point.
Book Review: Malamander by Thomas Taylor
